I got involved with an old friend who wanted to start an online sportswear business majoring in Netball equipment.
It was great to be involved at the inception of the idea. Lots of thought went into coming up with the branding. My vision was a theme that could be developed across a number of sports. We settled on Nothing But Netball. this gave a feeling of specialism and expertise but could be transferred to other sports as expansion allowed. Nothing But Football, Cricket, Rugby etc.
The next job was to meet prospective suppliers, sell the brand and USP and come away with the latest equipment at competitive pricing. This is especially difficult for a new start business in what could be described as a crowded field.
My experience of working with large multinational suppliers helped achieve a good structure with a number of the industries key players.
A fulfilment company was sourced, and he was ready to go!

He then got the opportunity to purchase a going concern from someone due to retire. So just before it all went live Nothing But Netball was conspired to the bin and Nutz about Netball became his new business.
The legals for the purchase were managed by a Corporate Lawyer I recommended, the price was negotiated and off he went.
The business continues to trade, albeit hampered by the pandemic shutting down team sports for over 18 months.
I hope to help Nutz About Netball move into other sports as they develop and grow in the future.
