I have supported Dan, the Founder of Populate Social, since the start of the business in 2015. He began the business straight after graduating so has relied on a great support network in order to gain the required knowledge of how to grow a business.
We've worked through a large range of scenarios as the business has grown. Perhaps one of the key areas has been HR & Operations. Dan will regularly contact me to discuss situations that have occurred whereby he needs an experienced head to support and guide in order to reach the best possible solution.
From a network perspective, I have been able to work with Dan to open doors to new clients and trusted people within my network that have been able to support through other business scenarios. I feel this is an area I can really support businesses, I have developed a wide network of contacts in my many years of business.

As the business has grown, further challenges have occurred. Whether this has been through navigating different financing options, sales & marketing techniques and general business growth techniques.
Dan is a single shareholder in his business and often this can be a lonely place in a business sense. More often than not, he has just needed me to be there as a sounding board to support through day to day questions which occur. Alongside this, it provides him with a sense of accountability to someone aside from himself when things need to be done.
The business has gone from strength to strength and is recognised as one of the UK's leading social media marketing agencies. Dan has gone on to be named Cardiff Young businessperson of the Year and shortlisted in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
